A Message to the Europe: With or Without You, We Fight

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi correctly criticizes European media. I have made similar criticisms of Swedish media in my article in *Fokus*. Instead of using their time and media space in a useful way and asking important questions about Iran today, the regime’s brutality, and its massacres, or critically examining the Crown Prince’s strategy to topple the Islamic regime and his plans for a transition period, the media has focused on what happened more than 50 years ago in Iran. Asking about the past is important. However, many of these questions are not based on facts or proper research, but instead on leftist and Islamist disinformation from more than 50 years ago. The intention behind the questions also matters. When the goal is to focus on irrelevant matters in order to avoid important issues for ideological reasons, that is not responsible journalism. There is little doubt that European journalists need to engage in serious self-criticism and reflect on what they are actually doing. Journalists should ask tough questions based on facts and proper research. They should report on events critically, but accurately. I fully support the criticism of European media expressed by Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, especially in Germany, where the media had the opportunity to speak with victims of the Islamic regime but did not use it. The European media needs to change its behavior. Otherwise, it will continue to lose the trust of its audience."
