Fransk filmkritiker sågar UFO Sweden
"På 1:55 finns det inte skuggan av en verklig önskan att erbjuda något annat än vad vi redan har sett i genren. Vissa kommer att se det som ett kompendium av X-Files och Stranger Things , tyvärr i svagt läge.
Utöver sina otaliga skott verkar Victor Dannel inte ha den minsta lust att blåsa liv i sin iscensättning med till exempel överflöd av skott och omvända skott.
Fotografering med blå och röda nyanser är verkligen inte obehaglig, det ger inte mycket (stiliseringseffekt?). Redigeringen är ofta lång eller till och med överdriven: Denise rymmer från polisbilen, värdelösa minisekvenser, exponering av karaktärerna uttänjda med för mycket längd, oändliga diskussioner, osammanhängande situationer särskilt mot slutet. Ljudbilden i åttiotalsstil är också dålig.
Vare sig det handlar om innehåll eller form känner vi ingenting."

Ole Henningsen har siden 2012 under mere end 100 besøg i Rigsarkivet gennemgået væsentlige dele af Forsvarets ældre arkiver for uforelateret materiale og søgt i hundredvis af avisartikler på Det Kongelige Bibliotek. Det er blevet til en helt særlig bog, hvor mange tidligere hemmelige dokumenter for første gang offentliggøres. Bogen giver et unikt indblik i centrale danske politikeres, videnskabsfolks og militærpersoners tanker, opdagelser og strategier.
Danske X-filer – Forhistorien er 1. bind i en serie om danske såkaldte X-filer og giver svar på flere spørgsmål:
Hvordan var holdningen tilbage i 1950’erne til ufoberetninger i den danske presse?
Hvordan så videnskaben på tingene?
Og hvordan var især Forsvarets og andre myndigheders indstilling til og behandling af uforapporter i tiden efter 2. Verdenskrig?
Danske X-filer – Forhistorien er på 192 gennemillustrerede farvesider i A4-format, indbundet og koster kr. 329.

I dag kom Ole Henningsens senaste bok ”Danske X-filer” med posten. Den kom i två exemplar, ett till AFU och ett till mig, vilket jag tackar för. Boken är del ett i en serie om det tidigare hemligstämplade ufomaterial som det danska försvaret samlat genom åren.
Det ska bli riktigt intressant att läsa den och i slutändan blir det en recension i UFO-Aktuellt."

"UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Uncloaking the flying saucer movement in the United States could offer historians a snapshot of Cold War attitudes at work in society, as well as insights into how science communication may be tied to current denialism and conspiracy theory movements, according to a Penn State historian.
Scientists, military officials and amateur unidentified flying object investigators -- often called ufologists -- have clashed almost since the start of the modern flying saucer era, which began in 1947 when aviator Kenneth Arnold spotted what he claimed were nine silver flying discs in the Cascade Mountains of Washington, said Greg Eghigian, associate professor of modern history, Penn State.
"From that event, this very quickly explodes and becomes a focus of media attention, but the question for me as a historian is why haven't historians been more curious about what took place and what has been going on for some time now," said Eghigian. "It's had clear impact on the way people think about science, the way people think about technology and the way they think about government and authority."
Eghigian, who reports his finding in a recent issue of Public Understanding of Science, said that the UFO phenomenon has ebbed and flowed since the late 1940s, but has recently died down from its height, something he attributes to the end of the Cold War."

Hollywood lånade universitets varumärke och campus för film om ufo
"'UFO' sighting on UC's campus
University of Cincinnati becomes the backdrop for extraterrestrial aliens and college mathematicians who try to crack the code
University of Cincinnati students watched their campus come to life
on the big screen — a really big screen.
UC’s A&S Tribunal played host Oct. 15 to a mystery-hungry crowd as
they viewed the newly released movie “UFO" — a film that features
campus in multiple scenes — on Nippert stadium’s massive video
screen.
As part of the Tribunal’s annual “Spooky Movie Night,” sci-fi lovers
were treated to mystifying yet recognizable scenes from around their
university.
“We’ve had several movies filmed on our campus in the last decade,
but this is the first time we let them use our brand and university name,"
said Marty Ludwig, UC director of Trademarks & Licensing. “The
production crew from Cincy Dawn [which later sold the film to Sony
Pictures] loved our campus. The mix of new, as well as old architecture
on our campus made a strong impact in the movie that centers around
Cincinnati, CVG airport and UC.”
The look of a college campus is tricky to duplicate, Ludwig says, even
with impressive camerawork, so most movies filmed on a college
campus are actually shot on a real campus with the branding
manipulated to look like a generic college.
But in this case the script was so good that Ludwig permitted the
producers to use UC’s name and brand in the film.
Hollywood comes to UC
The movie, shot on campus in October 2016,
presents X-Files star Gillian Anderson dealing with yet another
possibility of extraterrestrials. "UFO" is now available on DVD and
soon will stream on Netflix.
In this film, Anderson plays UC professor of mathematics Rebecca
Hendricks who is a believer of the otherworldly beings. She becomes
involved in helping her student Derek Echevaro (Alex Sharp), a UC
math whiz still haunted by a UFO sighting as a child, use mathematical
equations to solve the mysterious sightings reported at airports across
the country. The story centers on a UFO sighting at nearby CVG airport."
