Scientist on mass UFO sighting
"Guest, Dr Beatriz Villarroel discusses a strange visual transient captured on a plate taken on July 19, 1952 and how it may tap into a mass UFO sighting that very same night as well as a plate from July 26th and much more!

Religionshistoriker anlitas som föredragshållare till UFO-Sveriges fältundersökarkurs
"Eftersom vår externa föredragshållare Beatriz Villarroel hörde av sig och var tvungen att tacka nej till att komma till fältundersökarkursen av personliga skäl (vi gör ett nytt försök nästa år) så kontaktade jag Erik A W Östling istället och han är på. Så det ser ut att ordna sig med föredragshållare och Erik är ju superintressant med sin bakgrund inom religionshistoria och stora kunskaper om ufo."

Svensk forskare upptäcker ufo från 1950

"One of the researchers tied to the project is Beatriz Villarroel, researcher in astrophysics at Stockholm University. When Beatriz Villarroel was asked by Avi Loeb to be part of the Galileo project, she did not hesitate.
– Avi Loeb is an extremely brilliant person and I agree with him that it is not possible to continue to stigmatize the UFO substance, you lose so much information when you do it, she says.
Beatriz Villarroel was already curious about difficult-to-explain phenomena. And part of her research revolves around an image taken from the Palomar Observatory on April 12, 1950, at the time the site of the world’s largest telescope. That night a picture was taken of a small section of the sky which at first glance looks like an ordinary crowd of stars.
But the stars that should had been seen there, and which was on all star maps, had been accompanied by nine star-like objects that would not be there.
In a picture taken of the same area 30 minutes earlier, none of the nine “objects” can be seen."
"– It does not mean that it must be some kind of UFO, it can be some kind of space junk that has only remained for a hundred thousand years.
A few hundred thousand year old remains of a craft from another world in that case. A discovery that in itself would change the view of man’s place in the cosmos. If someone has been here and left traces behind, the questions suddenly become significantly more than the answers.
– For me, the Galileo project came in with perfect timing and with great methods. To be able to tackle the UFO issue in a serious way."
"What do you think about the UFO issue?
– I have no idea actually. I think that even if people’s experiences are often correct, that does not mean that the interpretation they make is always so. I am very neutral and agnostic to the UFO issue but open to helping the Galileo project test it. I myself have never seen a UFO even though I looked up at the sky."
