"Läste också astronomen Jesper Sollermans oinitierade och märkliga inlägg i Forskning & Framsteg (som jag läst på nätet tidigare) nu när pappersutgåvan låg och väntade på mig hemma. Jesper, som jag träffat några gånger, menar att de forskare som ägnar ufofenomenen ger ”foliehattarna” en plattform och att blandar ihop ufo med platta jordare och homeopati. Han skriver sedan Felix Herngren hört av sig och bett honom att vara med i den serie som vi just nu spelar in, ”Ufomysteriet med Felix Herngren”, och tackat nej.
I sitt debattinlägg konstaterar Sollerman att ”en professor i astronomi i ett ufo-program kanske bara ger falsk legitimitet åt ämnet”. Han skriver också att ufo ”inte är en astronomisk forskningsfråga”.
Som alla, utom kanske professor Sollerman, vet har andra astronomiprofessorer en annan åsikt, inte minst professor Avi Loeb som vi träffade i USA. Det är tråkigt när en högt utbildad person uttalar sig om något han inte har en aning om och när han gör det på ett okunnigt och generaliserande sätt. Han avråder dessutom TV4 från att satsa på ufoserien."

"Häromveckan hörde Felix Herngrens produktionsbolag av sig och ville använda Albanova Universitetscentrums lokaler för att filma för nya TV4-serien om ufon. Veckan innan ville en dokumentärfilmare att jag skulle debattera med personer som är övertygade om att jorden är platt. Jag tackade nej."
"Herngrens ufo-brev avslutas med en undran över varför vi ägnar så lite uppmärksamhet åt denna fråga. Mitt svar är att det inte är en astronomisk forskningsfråga. Jag vill ju helt enkelt hellre ägna min tid till universums verkliga upptäckter. TV4 borde satsa på en serie om spännande svensk forskning i stället."
