"But is there truly a serious lack of evidence for UFOs, as skeptics have insisted since the 1950s?

For the past several years, my colleagues and I have analyzed “transients,” intriguing astronomical phenomena which change in brightness – or disappear entirely – over short periods of time.

Our research has zeroed in on hundreds of thousands of bright, star-like short flashes of light, recorded in photographic surveys of the night sky. Importantly, these astronomical observations are from the years before the Soviet Union launched the first man-made satellite, Sputnik, in 1957."

"The most statistically significant alignment of transient flashes in our dataset occurred on July 27, 1952, a date which stands out in UFO lore. Over the course of two successive weekends in July 1952, pilots, air traffic controllers, and radar operators at three stations in the Washington, D.C., area observed objects conducting seemingly extraordinary maneuvers."

Regissören Lasse Hallström har gjort research om ufo för en framtida film

 

"Genom UFO-research för en framtida film hittade Lasse Hallström Hilma af Klint och blev fascinerad av andliga ting. I Söndagsintervjun berättar han hur ett medium hjälpt honom att kommunicera med den döda konstnärens ande. Nu beskriver han sig själv som "helomvänd" och berättar att han också fått kontakt med Magnus och Brasse på andra sidan. Han säger att deras och flera andras andar har hjälpt honom i filmskapandet."

“To be ‘as transparent as we can’ means nothing much,” says Clas Svahn, chairman for the Sweden-based Archives for the Unexplained, among the most comprehensive digital libraries for UFO sightings and investigations into them by governments worldwide. The military’s approach is particularly frustrating “when it comes to observations and reports that are made by Air Force and Navy pilots inside restricted airspace, since they most certainly will be seen as something that could threaten national security.”

“Now,” he adds, “UAPs will only be seen as a threat – and treated as that.”
