Many of these otherworldly occurrences defy explanation and remain a mystery even today.

Here are a few of the recorded UFO sightings over Cambridgeshire.

Many of these entries are from the East Anglia UFO Group.

Isleham

In 1909, the Cambridge Evening News reported one of the earliest recorded UFO sightings in the county.

A Mr Dennis is reported as saying that he saw a floating light in the sky one Tuesday night. He said he watched the light proceed across the railroad and on to Fordham."
